Ingredients

  • ½ cup Bayara dry masoor dal (red lentils)
  • ¼ cup water
  • ⅓ cup tomato sauce or canned tomatoes
  • 1 Tbls olive oil
  • ¼ cup nutritional yeast
  • 1 Tsp Bayara onion powder
  • 1-2 Tbls dried Italian spices (Bayara oregano, basil, rosemary, and thyme)
  • ½ Tsp Bayara black pepper

Method

  1. Grind the Bayara dry lentils into flour. Alternatively, use Bayara lentil chickpea or bean flour; it works just as well for these protein crackers.
  2. Mix all ingredients with spices including the Bayara lentil flour in a bowl and then spread the mixture on parchment paper.
  3. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 15 minutes, then flip, and bake for 10 more minutes until the crackers are dry and crisp.
  4. Cut into the shape of your choice and serve.
