Ingredients

  • 500g (3 cups) Egyptian rice
  • 500g liver, cut into very small cubes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced & divided
  • 2 Tsp honey
  • 500ml boiling water
  • 1 bouillon cube
  • 2 Bayara cardamoms
  • 2 Bayara bay leaves
  • 2 cubeb pepper pods
  • ½ Tsp Bayara cinnamon
  • ¼ Tsp Bayara spices
  • ¼ cup Bayara raisins
  • ¼ cup peeled Bayara almonds
  • Bayara salt, to taste
  • Bayara black pepper, to taste
  • 1 Tbls ghee
  • ½ Tsp Bayara black pepper
Method

Method

  1. In a preheated frying pan, add 1 tablespoon of ghee with a little oil, then roast the Bayara nuts, and set aside in a bowl.
  2. In the same pan, sauté the onion until brown, then add the Bayara spices, and mix well.
  3. In a saucepan, add some oil and then Bayara rice, fry until it turns light golden.
  4. Add a clove of minced garlic, fried onions, and a bouillon cube, then add the rest of the Bayara spices, boiling water, and honey, and leave on a low heat until cooked.
  5. In the used pan, add some oil, liver, garlic, and Bayara spices and leave until cooked.
  6. In a serving plate, place a layer of rice, liver, and Bayara nuts and serve.
